Eco-friendly is the question customers ask about most, and the honest answer is that it depends on the build. GTS paper tubes run on SFI-certified paperboard at up to 95% post-consumer content. Tins are food-grade certified metal. The lining and the finish are what move a package toward or away from an eco claim, so we tell you which build gets you there before you commit to a spec. Minimum order is 1,000 units and pre-production samples take about 20 days, then production runs 30 to 40 days in a third-party audited facility. Based in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, ISO 9001 certified, more than 20 years building custom packaging.
What the materials are
- Paperboard: SFI-certified paperboard, up to 95% post-consumer content, on every custom paper tube.
- Tin: Food-grade certified metal. Tins are durable and widely recycled.
- Linings: Foil or food-grade paper. Both are food-grade and both are plastic-free. The choice affects the eco profile as well as the product.
- Finishes: Kraft and faux kraft read as natural on shelf. Foil stamping and spot UV add shine and add cost.

How we handle the claim
- We quote the build first, then tell you what it is and is not. Some builds are eco-friendly and some are not, depending on the lining and finish you choose.
- We do not put a sustainability claim on a spec we cannot back. If a claim matters to your buyer, we will tell you which structure and lining gets you there.
- Certification documentation is available on request for the paperboard.
Best for
- Brands with a sustainability claim on the front of the package, retailers with packaging requirements, subscription programs where the unboxing is part of the product, and any brand moving off plastic containers.
